Master Bedroom

Originally, this master bedroom was two smaller rooms. When it was converted, structural features were left intact. It can be returned to two bedrooms with some basic framing, removing a temporary wall and turning a door around. Light wiring is easily moved. The whole change can be done by a handy-man in a weekend.

The front yard is shaded with rows of Pine trees which cuts down on the summer heat. With the trees it makes it ideal to sit on the front porch anytime of day. The back yard is equipped with a cement patio, and an enormous kids fort. The back yard is a green oasis of grass, shrubery and trees enclosed in a privacy fence that is designed to keep in small or large pets, if needed.

The eat in kitchen is open and spacious with plenty of counter space and room for a 10 person table with plenty of space left over. Attached to the kitchen is a small laundry room/mud room with a side door.

Upstairs are two large bedrooms, a full bath and a second living area with a deck. Off the den or playroom is a large attic with shelves for plenty storage. This room is seen in the image below.

The large window in the extreme right side of the image is a sliding glass window that leads to the upper deck located on the front of the house. This is a large 8 foot by 16 foot deck, great for enjoying the outdoors. If you watch from this deck, you can see ships coming into the Port Aransas ship channel. You can also watch the Port Aransas fireworks display from here.

Upstairs Sitting Room

This "Upstairs Sitting Room" is now in it's original configuration when the second floor was added. Until the end of last year, this room spent three years as a nice bedroom. Framing in the ceiling exists that can be used to install a wall with a door. The whole change takes a few hours and a little bit of framing and drywall or panelling. Insulation to make the wall more sound proof is still in the attic storage space.

Bedroom 1

This "Bedroom 2" has undergone a few changes, too. The door on the left side of the image leads to another bedroom in the back of the house. The combination of the two rooms makes a very large room. Only a temporary wall divides the two. This temporary wall is framed and surfaced with drywall. As it is, it looks like original permanant structure.

On the other hand, another wall can be re-installed and make this a private bedroom with a separate hall to the rear bedroom. This wall was removed (as seen here) to make a larger room and the back room is currently used for additional storage.
